Position description

Are you an experienced Head of HR & Operations Manager looking for a strategic leadership role in HR, Operations, People Management and Business Operations? This exciting opportunity in Brussels within a leading international public affairs consultancy offers the chance to combine HR leadership, operational management and business excellence in one impactful position. As Head of HR & Operations Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening HR processes, optimising business operations, supporting senior leadership and driving organisational performance in a dynamic, international and collaborative environment. Your responsibilities as Head of HR & Operations Manager

As Head of HR & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for both the strategic and operational aspects of the organisation.

  • Oversee HR administration, payroll, benefits, employment contracts and compliance with Belgian employment legislation;
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, employee policies and internal HR procedures;
  • Act as a trusted HR partner for employee relations, workplace concerns and confidential HR matters;
  • Support employee engagement through internal communication, wellbeing initiatives and team activities;
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, talent development initiatives, performance review cycles and training programmes;
  • Ensure smooth office operations by managing facilities, suppliers, procurement and workplace services;
  • Monitor operational compliance, governance processes and expense management;
  • Lead and support administrative, reception and IT support teams to ensure efficient daily operations;
  • Oversee business travel arrangements, meetings, corporate events and internal activities;
  • Continuously improve operational processes, digital tools and document management systems to increase efficiency and support business growth.

About you

To succeed as Head of HR & Operations Manager, you bring a strong combination of HR expertise, operations management and leadership experience.

  • You have significant experience in HR management and business operations in Belgium;
  • You have a strong understanding of Belgian employment law and HR compliance requirements;
  • You have experience managing operational processes, administration, suppliers and support teams;
  • You are highly organised, structured and able to manage multiple priorities effectively;
  • You combine strategic thinking with a practical and hands-on mindset;
  • You have strong communication skills and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels;
  • You are a proactive problem solver with strong decision-making and project management abilities;
  • You demonstrate a high level of integrity, discretion and professionalism;
  • Fluency in English and Dutch is required. Knowledge of French is a plus;
  • You are motivated by continuous improvement and delivering operational excellence.
