About Climate Outreach
Climate change affects us all, and involves us all. But all too often conversations about climate exclude and alienate people. We know people care about tackling climate change. And we know we need to act fast. Season after season of wild weather around the world leaves us in no doubt that climate change is happening here and now. At Climate Outreach we know people become the solution to the climate crisis when they’re invited into the conversation.

Our vision is for everyone to be involved in shaping a more sustainable, fairer world. So we are on a mission to ensure people trust, support and have a say in the changes we must make to tackle climate change. We aim to go beyond the green bubble by helping organisations communicate about climate change in ways that resonate with the sense of identity, values and worldview of their audiences.

For 20 years we’ve strived to understand how people engage with climate change. We’ve shared our pioneering insights to inspire great communication with diverse audiences globally. We’re trusted as experts by governments, international bodies, environmental groups and media organisations.

We are taking our research to other organisations and sectors – from businesses to housing to sport – to help them tell their own stories. We are supporting new storytellers. We are showing politicians and policy makers the importance of engaging people in climate policy making. And we are building our evidence base on great communications and public engagement with innovative research and insight. In everything we do, we value being collaborative, inclusive, curious and optimistic.

To fulfil your responsibilities, you will need these skills and attributes:

– You are willing to work with technological systems and solutions
– You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to apply them appropriately in different contexts
– You have the ability to research existing and prospective funders
– You are interested and are willing to learn about our work

Like the rest of the Climate Outreach team, you’ll benefit from:

– Cycle to work scheme
– Flexible working policy
