Position description

We are looking for an Associate Director to join our Defense and Security Segment, where he/she will lead transformation initiatives, including organizational strategy, redesign, system and tool adoption; stakeholder engagement; data-driven policy initiatives; and digital modernization efforts for Department of State and other national security clients.

What You Will Do

  • Liaise with clients to oversee efforts to strategize and modernize organizational structures, processes, and capabilities. This will include leading teams to develop workshops and future state visioning sessions and developing strategies and roadmaps to support execution, as well as assisting in the execution of tactical outcomes and objectives.
  • Guide clients through the adoption of new technologies and tools to streamline processes and meet mission needs. This may include developing communications and engagement strategies, designing roadmaps, mapping systems and tools, and developing metrics to measure adoption.
  • Develop strategies for governance, system modernization, and enterprise architecture to improve operational efficiency and data-informed decision making. This may include redesigning governance body charters and supporting the merger of governance bodies and functions.
  • Prepare for and lead internal and external stakeholder discussions, client meetings, and leadership briefings.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
  • Provide mentorship, leadership, and career coaching to 8-10+ junior resources to help them grow professionally and navigate their careers at Guidehouse.
  • Work collaboratively across our Defense and Security segment to engage and coordinate among national security and defense-centric agencies and Guidehouse teams, as well as with Guidehouse Tech on digital modernization solutioning as needed.

What You Will Need
 

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED “SECRET” Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10 (ten) or more years of experience working on enterprise level transformation initiatives within international agencies, coordinating with global stakeholders on enterprise wide challenges, or other relevant experience.

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Experience with guiding organizational redesigns and change management and driving the adoption of new tools and systems with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communications and collaboration skills across all levels of business, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively form, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Ability to understand and drive new business growth and successfully manage risk and quality of contract delivery.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and develop successful professional relationships.

The annual salary range for this position is $149,000.00-$248,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
