Job Title: Open Rank Fellowship Education Lead or Fellowship Education Program Manager (Principal Professional – Program Manager)

Position #: 00849302 – Requisition #: 40292

Job Summary:

The Fellowship Education Program Manager/Program Lead for the Department of Medicine (DOM) serves as the primary administrative and support partner of all DOM fellowship program coordinators and fellowship-related educational operations. The DOM Fellowship Education Program Manager/Program Lead ensures high-quality administrative support across all ACGME- and non-ACGME–accredited fellowship programs in the DOM, promotes consistency and compliance, and partners closely with program directors, departmental leadership, and GME offices to optimize the educational experience for trainees.

Under the guidance of and in collaboration with the Department’s Vice Chair of Education, the Fellowship Education Program Manager/Program Lead will analyze current systems, processes, and procedures across all ACGME- and non-ACGME-accredited fellowship programs in the DOM to identify best practices and areas for improvement in the DOM fellowship programs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a collaborative and supportive fellowship program coordinator community with regular team meetings, professional development sessions, and communication channels.
  • Standardize processes, policies, and documentation for recruitment, onboarding, program evaluation, Clinical Competency Committee and Program Evaluation Committee activities, block schedules, rotation agreements, and accreditation documentation for DOM fellowship programs.
  • Assist in maintaining the budget for centralized fellowship initiatives and support financial coordination related to fellowship programming and events.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training for new coordinators in the DOM.
  • Partner with the Vice Chair for Education, Fellowship Program Directors, and GME leadership to create and operationalize strategic initiatives for fellowship education.
  • Provide project management support and coordination for department-level fellowship initiatives (e.g., DOM-wide fellowship orientation, supplementary training tracks, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary liaison between DOM fellowship programs and the institutional GME office, including attending and participating in relevant institution-level meetings.
