Position description

NOVE is an advisory agency in public affairs and communication in Brussels. We guide businesses in their interactions with the EU institutions and relevant stakeholders.
Our story is one of entrepreneurship and trust. We know our success is contingent on our ability to distinguish ourselves through the quality of our services, the ingenuity of our ideas, and our commitment to clients. This conviction that each client matters shapes our strategies and is visible in our work.
About the job
To support our business growth, NOVE is looking to recruit a Consultant / Senior Consultant for our Technology Practice, starting ASAP.
If you are eager to learn, proactive, passionate about the EU, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic structure, this opportunity is for you. You should relish the challenges of handling a mix of public affairs and communications activities, with a focus on technology and digital policy.
We expect flexibility from you and, in return, we promise a truly collegial approach to reaching the high standards that our clients have come to expect.
Role and responsibilities
Under the guidance of NOVE’s Directors, your tasks will include:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for a number of our Tech clients;
  • Managing important accounts, including budgets;
  • Developing strategic positions and guidance for clients;
  • Gathering intelligence, monitoring and providing analysis of EU policies and legislation;
  • Ensuring that day-to-day tasks are delivered to the requisite standard;
  • Line managing and supervising work of junior colleagues;
  • Researching and drafting background notes;
  • Reporting from external events and institutional/political meetings.

Qualifications and skills
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Working knowledge of one or more European languages is a valued asset;
  • Masters’ degree in political science, economics, European affairs/studies or law;
  • Previous experience in a consultancy/in-house, EU institution, trade association or other relevant professional environment;
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working on issues relating to Tech / digital policy;
  • Strong research and analytical skills, as well as an ability to translate complex documents into concise, digestible formats;
  • Proven knowledge of the EU decision making process and stakeholder environment. A solid network in Brussels is a valued asset;
  • Great time management skills and ability to efficiently multi-task;
  • Good knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software;
  • Strong collaboration skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

This job is an ideal springboard to expand your experience in public affairs and open up real career prospects within a renowned agency.
