Then this opportunity is perfect for you!

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Trainee Consultant in Communications to join our team. The successful candidate will support the development and execution of creative, effective, and engaging communication strategies across multiple policy topics and channels.

This role involves creating visual and written content, developing messages and presentations, and contributing to campaigns that communicate complex policy topics in an accessible and impactful way.

You should bring both a creative drive and a strong interest in policy communications and storytelling across different policy areas.

Responsibilities:

      • Draft clear and compelling content for various communication channels, including social media, websites, and newsletters;
      • Support the development and implementation of communication and social media strategies, including monitoring performance and analysing engagement metrics;
      • Monitor media and social platforms to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging topics relevant to our clients;
      • Conduct background research and prepare memos, event notes, and issue briefings;
      • Assist in planning and coordinating events, press conferences, and other engagements, both in person and online.

Essential:

      • Holder of a Belgian work permit or EU nationality;
      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, marketing, political science, or another relevant field;
      • Native-level English, with additional language skills considered an asset;
      • Previous traineeship or experience in strategic communications, marketing, and/or design (applications without such experience will not be considered);
      • Familiarity with Canva;
      • High level of creativity, with an eagerness to explore new communication formats;
      • Strong aesthetic sense and exceptional attention to detail;
      • Good presentation skills and the ability to convey information clearly and visually;
      • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision;
      • Flexibility, enthusiasm, and adaptability in a fast-paced, international work environment.

Desirable:

      • Experience in the healthcare, technology, or sustainability sectors;
      • Experience in event organisation, social media campaigns, or community engagement;
      • Familiarity with media relations, news, or political environments;
      • Comfort working with a camera and performing basic video editing.
