Our Rescue’s mission is to end sex trafficking and child exploitation while empowering survivors to reclaim their lives and thrive on their healing journey. We partner in this fight with service agencies, law enforcement, governments, and supporters who share our vision of a world free from sex trafficking.
We work with law enforcement agencies globally to identify, arrest, and prosecute traffickers and provide comprehensive care for our survivors. We educate and advocate for public involvement in our mission. Our Rescue is a global collective, boldly fighting to eradicate sex trafficking and child exploitation: Until every person is safe.
Position Description
As the Vice President of Survivor Care, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing the organization’s survivor care strategy, supporting survivors of sex trafficking on their journey to recovery. This leadership position requires a dynamic and empathetic professional with a strong background in program development, partnership building, and capacity strengthening, with a commitment to making a lasting impact in the lives of survivors. In this role, you will lead efforts to expand the organization’s reach and effectiveness by fostering collaborative partnerships and enhancing the capabilities of survivor support networks globally. Your responsibilities will include the following:
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a global survivor care strategy aligned with the organization’s mission. Provide visionary leadership to the survivor care team and guide organizational priorities.
Program Development & Partnerships: Build and strengthen partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Enhance the capacity of survivor support networks and promote innovative approaches to scaling impact.
Staff Leadership & Capacity Building: Mentor and manage a diverse team, fostering a culture of empathy, resilience, and continuous improvement. Ensure trauma-informed, survivor-centered approaches guide all work.
Resource Mobilization & Support: Collaborate with development teams to secure funding and sustain long-term support for survivor care initiatives. Support integration of survivor care priorities across organizational operations.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning: Establish systems to assess program and partnership effectiveness, using data to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
Advocacy & Representation: Represent the organization externally and advocate for survivor rights, enhanced survivor support networks, and strengthened partnerships globally.
Compliance & Ethical Practice: Ensure adherence to international guidelines and ethical standards, modeling self-care practices and maintaining professional boundaries in all survivor and partner interactions.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in aftercare or survivor support, with substantial direct engagement, supporting and advocating for survivors of trauma, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Preference will be given to an individual with lived experience.
- Deep knowledge of global sex trafficking issues and commitment to the organization’s mission.
- Experience working with diverse cultures, communities, or marginalized groups
- Demonstrated cross-cultural competency and ability to work effectively in international contexts.
- Proven experience in program development, implementation, evaluation, and partnership building.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire diverse teams.
- Experience in resource mobilization, grant management, and working with NGOs, government agencies, or other stakeholders.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, survivor-centered approaches.
- Experience working with and collaborating with law enforcement
- Willingness to travel internationally; bilingual (Spanish and/or Thai) preferred
