International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES)


Position description

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager will lead IFES’ program monitoring, evaluation reporting in Bangladesh. 

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Text

  • Lead the design and implementation of M&E;
  • Develop and manage program tracking and reporting tools; work with partners and IFES staff to orient on tracking tool use;
  • Collect monitoring and evaluation data for activities, including through monitoring visits as needed;
  • Conduct monitoring visits to project activities;
  • Ensure IFES’ compliance with data entry into performance monitoring systems across three donors (e.g. TrainNET, DevResults);
  • Compile and review partner data for donor reporting;
  • Assist with implementing program evaluations, as necessary;
  • Lead the development of documents including promotional/background materials, external communications, internal and donor reports, project proposals, and correspondence;
  • Advise staff on program-related monitoring planning and implement

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of eight years of relevant experience;
  • Preference for MEL leadership in governance-focused programming;
  • Demonstrated experience developing M&E frameworks, data collection tools, and maintaining MEL platforms for international programming;

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Working level proficiency in Word, Excel and other reporting software.
  • The ability to remain organized while handling multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to show initiative, good judgment and resourcefulness.

Other Requirements:

  • This position is opened for Bangladeshi nationals only and is based in Dhaka with potential for some travel outside Dhaka.
