Position description

Founded in 2021, the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue (KITDP) aims to secure freedom from techno-authoritarian threats by accelerating the widespread innovation and adoption of trusted tech. The Institute is creating and leading a new category of Tech Diplomacy, uniquely integrating tech expertise, Silicon Valley strategies, and foreign policy tools to build the Global Tech Trust Network of governments, companies, and individuals united around a set of shared trust principles and a common mission to ensure that technology advances freedom.

The Associate for Development will support KITDP’s fundraising and partnership efforts as part of the Chief Revenue Officer’s team. Reporting to the Senior Associate and working closely with the Revenue Team, this role will contribute to donor engagement through research, CRM management, and preparation of materials. The Associate will also assist with timely follow-up and coordination of development-related events and convenings to strengthen the Institute’s revenue pipeline and growth.

      • Assist the Senior Associate in coordinating deliverables for corporate partners, grants, and donor contributions.
      • Provide research support for prospective funders across revenue streams, including preparing background briefs and meeting materials.
      • Draft donor-facing materials including emails, thank-you notes, and proposal inputs
      • Maintain CRM and tracking documents with current donor, prospect and revenue pipeline information.
      • Support follow-up actions from donor and partner meetings to ensure timely communication and record keeping.
      • Help track quarterly development metrics for review by senior leadership.
      • Contribute to donor-related events and convenings, providing logistical and communications support as needed.
      • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, note-taking, and document preparation.
      • Work with the events team to plan, execute, and follow up on fundraising and business development activities.

Required Education, Experience and Benefits Summary

      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • 1–2 years of experience; internship or related experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit administration preferred.
