We educate and advocate for public involvement in our mission. Our Rescue is a global collective, boldly fighting to eradicate sex trafficking and child exploitation: Until every person is safe.

Position Description

As the Vice President of Survivor Care, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing the organization’s survivor care strategy, supporting survivors of sex trafficking on their journey to recovery. This leadership position requires a dynamic and empathetic professional with a strong background in program development, partnership building, and capacity strengthening, with a commitment to making a lasting impact in the lives of survivors. In this role, you will lead efforts to expand the organization’s reach and effectiveness by fostering collaborative partnerships and enhancing the capabilities of survivor support networks globally. Your responsibilities will include the following:

Staff Leadership & Capacity Building: Mentor and manage a diverse team, fostering a culture of empathy, resilience, and continuous improvement. Ensure trauma-informed, survivor-centered approaches guide all work.

Resource Mobilization & Support: Collaborate with development teams to secure funding and sustain long-term support for survivor care initiatives. Support integration of survivor care priorities across organizational operations.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning: Establish systems to assess program and partnership effectiveness, using data to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.

Advocacy & Representation: Represent the organization externally and advocate for survivor rights, enhanced survivor support networks, and strengthened partnerships globally.

Compliance & Ethical Practice: Ensure adherence to international guidelines and ethical standards, modeling self-care practices and maintaining professional boundaries in all survivor and partner interactions.

This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by expanding organizational reach, strengthening survivor support systems worldwide, and advancing the mission to protect, empower, and support survivors of human trafficking.

Qualifications

      • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
      • 10+ years of experience in aftercare or survivor support, with substantial direct engagement, supporting and advocating for survivors of trauma, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
