Here’s where you come in:

As National Director – WV Laos, you will strategically lead, develop, and direct the implementation of all aspects of World Vision’s ministry in Laos, ensuring high-quality programming, strong operational performance, and alignment with the organization’s global strategy. You will serve as an effective local leader and a committed member of the global partnership, modeling World Vision’s principles of Twin Citizenship to strengthen ministry impact and organizational effectiveness.

You will guide the country team in delivering the national strategy in alignment with Our Promise, ensuring the office has the capacity, systems, and capabilities to execute global priorities, particularly in development programming, grant management, and operational excellence. You will ensure that all operations and the country’s operating model remain focused on Child Well-Being Outcomes and Aspirations, maximizing impact for children and communities while stewarding resources efficiently and responsibly.

You will collaborate closely with partnership offices and divisions to achieve shared goals and strengthen organizational unity. Externally, you will build and maintain strategic relationships with major donors, project partners, local government, church leaders, faith-based organizations, and NGOs to enhance collaboration, stewardship, and program effectiveness.

Through your leadership, you will model personal Christian faith, integrity, and servant leadership, setting a strong example in both lifestyle and work relationships. You will provide spiritual guidance to staff and champion World Vision’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values, fostering a culture of purpose, accountability, and faith-centered service.

Requirements include:

      • At least 5 years of senior strategic management leadership, preferably with a global organisation and/or international exposure.
      • Excellent understanding of the political, social and economic context in East Asia countries, particularly in Laos, and its impact on WV as a Christian International NGO or experience working in a restrictive context.
      • Substantial programme management experience at a senior level for at least 3 years in a developing country context, with evidence of both responsibility and accountability
      • Should have experience managing complex operating budgets of USD $6M or more.
      • Experience is leading senior leadership teams and proven ability to build consensus and relationships among stakeholders, partners, and the workforce
      • Master’s degree or equivalent experience with training and experience in resource development and organizational management.
