CIMMYT is seeking three proactive, innovative, and self-motivated professionals for the positions of ICT Technician to work in the Knowledge Management – Information Technologies Unit at CIMMYT.

The positions will be based at CIMMYT headquarter in Texcoco, near Mexico City.

Duties:

  • System administrations tasks based on ISO 20000 processes and standard operating procedures in ITU
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve hardware, software, and network problems either remotely or on-site
  • Ensure that incidents are resolved according to the service level agreement (SLA) and that predefined resolution timelines are met.
  • Collaborating with second-level support and other IT teams to ensure issues are addressed effectively and escalated when needed.
  • Creating and updating technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Recover data in the event of hardware or software failure.
  • Prepare and enroll new and replacing end-user computers
  • Set up and configure new and replacing end-user computers on the corporate network
  • Manage end-user computer data transfers from/to end-user computers provisioned on the network
  • Set up and configure Microsoft applications on Premise and 365 services
  • Set up and configure printing service for end-user computers as required.
  • Set up and configure network shares for end-user computers as required.
  • Attend General IT service requests and incident reports
  • Verify that the meeting rooms and the equipment are in maintained in good condition and ensure maintenance is done as required.
  • Organize the arrangement of the chairs and tables, audio-visual and/or computer equipment to meet the special needs of the users.
  • Set up all electronic equipment on time and ensure they are properly working.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years related work experience. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365, AX 2012 Certifications: Development, Extensions and Deployment for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (a plus).
  • Intermediate level in English language (English test will be administered; candidate must score a minimum of B2 as per CEFR).
  • The selected candidate must exhibit the following competencies: Critical thinking, Teamwork, Client Orientation, Problem Solving decision making, Negotiation and Conflict resolution.
