Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI)

Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI)

Position description

Founded on the belief that a country’s natural resources belong to its citizens, the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) brings together governments, civil society, and companies to improve natural resource governance. With over 50 member countries and 60 supporting companies, the EITI promotes transparency, accountability and informed policymaking in the extractive sector.

Behind the small but ambitious and impactful organisation is a diverse and dynamic team of experts, ready to welcome you and support your learning as you navigate the EITI Standard and its global implementation. Based in Oslo, Norway, the EITI International Secretariat comprises a collaborative and multilingual team of around 50 professionals who value growth and development. Whether over a shared meal or an informal discussion, we believe in building strong relationships that help us work effectively together and inspire trust among our stakeholders.

The Data Officer will join us on a two-year contract, with the possibility of extension. The role sits within the International Secretariat’s Data Team and reports to the Data Manager. The position is available immediately.

Who you are

We are looking for a highly motivated, service-minded, systematic and detail-oriented data professional to help us deliver the EITI’s ambitious Data Strategy. Our culture and decision-making are driven by our core values of integrity, professionalism and respect for diversity. The successful applicant will identify with, and demonstrate behaviours consistent with, these values. Personal suitability for the position, including alignment with the EITI values, will be a decisive factor in the selection process.
