The Digital Communication Officer (NO-1) will create and implement digital content strategies to enhance UNICEF Mexico’s visibility, support fundraising efforts, and strengthen advocacy for children’s rights. The role involves managing multi-platform digital campaigns, producing high-impact multimedia content, analyzing performance data, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners. The officer will also support emergency communication needs, ensure ethical storytelling and foster partnerships that help UNICEF Mexico reach more people in digital channels.
The Digital Communication Officer (NO-1) will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the digital and social media components of UNICEF Mexico’s Communication and Public Advocacy Strategy. The officer will be responsible for driving content strategy across social media platforms, managing digital outreach.
- Digital communication: Support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the digital and social media components of UNICEF Mexico’s Communication and Public Advocacy Strategy.
- Communication materials: Contribute to ensure that the production of communication products and material is timely executed and followed up to support the country office’s communication and public advocacy strategy, regional and global campaigns and priorities, and to support resource mobilization as set out in the work plan.
- Reputation management: Contribute to ensure that media in the country are properly catered for in the digital arena and that UNICEF´s reputation is effectively managed.
- Celebrities, partners and special events: Contribute to ensure that the Country Office’s contact list of individuals, groups, organizations and fora (including Government, UN, and bilateral counterparts), are maintained and further developed, whose support is essential to/can assist in achieving the advocacy and communication objectives and who support and are able to actively participate in special events and activities that further the country programme goals.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
- Work Experience: One-year (1) practical professional work experience in digital communication, social media management and/or web content production.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Proficiency in English.
