Ensure the successful implementation of activities and timely delivery of outputs and reporting duties under the scope of the projects, initiatives and expert-driven processes related to environmental science. This role involves a variety of tasks, including administrative support, coordination and communication with project partners and external experts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of activities documentation, reports, presentations and other dissemination materials.
  •  Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and activities timelines.
  • Facilitate internal and external communication between OEMMR, finance and communication units, project partners, experts and stakeholders
  • Maintain and update activities files, databases, and records.
  • Monitor activities progress and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the allocation and management of resources.
  • Identify and address issues that may arise during the implementation of activities.
  • Provide general support to other OEMMR programmes and initiatives related to the ISA MSR action plan, as needed.

Education:

A university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, project management, or a related field is required.

Experience:

  •  At least 3 years of professional experience in projects and initiatives related to environmental science, and/or biodiversity field.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Experience working with environmental projects and initiatives.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the Authority. For the position advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.
