Comments and Other Information * ESY and RSY 2025-2026 In this position, the prospective special education teacher will work with the support of a multi-tiered support team including a Clinical Director, BCBA supervisors, and each student’s individualized support staff to develop and implement student’s academic programming as outlined by their individualized education program (IEP). The dense staff to student ratio allows the special education teacher to focus on development and assessment of students’ academic needs and to participate collaboratively in the outlining of additional needs (e.g., behavior, communication, social) with trained experts. Must be available for in-person role in California POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Current California Moderate-Severe or Mild-Moderate Education Specialist Credential Intern Credential Eligible Applicants will be considered Other Credentialed CA Applicants (e.g., multiple subject credential) will be considered Applicants interested in a part-time position will be considered Applicant must pass Department of Justice screens and provide proof of a negative TB test Valid driver’s license PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Work with Clinical Director to plan and develop academic programming and materials for students. Assess present levels of performance, develop, and measure IEP goals for students. Maintain IEP and related files and attend IEP meetings. Participate in collaborative meetings with team members including but not limited to individualized support staff, special service providers, Brite Horizons Directors and BCBAs, school district staff, and parents. Demonstrate commitment to student progress, independence, and advocacy.
