The Information Management Assistant will act as the field office data focal point. S/he will help coordinate data and information management between the programme, the implementing partners, and the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Team at the Area Office. S/he will support the Core Competency (CC) Project Manager(s)/Project Coordinator(s) and implementing partner(s) with data collection, analysis, records management and storage, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support in updating of Indicators Performance Table (IPT) at the Field Office.
- Gathering, organizing, and maintaining information in a systematic and efficient manner.
- Supervise data capture processes to ensure they are implemented according to plans and agreed standards, (verifying data against MoVs)
- Provide analysis of information and data to identify the trends and patterns and preparing reports to communicate the findings.
- Manage data entry into GORS, ensuring data is entered timely and accurately.
- Maintain CC files, databases, and other archives documenting project progress.
- Provide training and support to NRC and partner staff on data capture, analysis, and use.
- Maintain CC-specific portion of data capture, analysis, and warehousing platforms (e.g., Collect and SharePoint) is well organised and accessible.
- Liaise with IMO and other units on areas of common responsibility.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an international NGO, preferably in M&E, Data management or Information Management System (IMS).
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, social studies, development studies or higher diploma in Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation or similar with at least 1-2 years of active professional experience in data management, preferably in an emergency or post-conflict setting.
- Thorough experience with developing databases and beneficiary-tracking tools.
- Demonstrated ability in electronic data collection, data cleaning and analysing.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
