FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Kingsborough Community College seeks candidates to teach undergraduate courses within the Education Program for the remainder of the 2024-2025 academic year. The successful candidate will have completed significant coursework, research and/or professional experience in the area of Education with an emphasis on Special Education. The candidate must have teaching experience in a Pre-K-6th grade Special Education role in NYC DOE or a similar urban setting.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree required, Ph.D., highly preferred. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.

For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.

For Adjunct Lecturer:

Bachelor’s degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.

COMPENSATION

Adjunct Lecturer: – $91.67 – $98.40 per hour

Adjunct Assistant Professor: $100.00 – $106.41 per hour

Adjunct Associate Professor: $108.33 – $118.45 per hour

Adjunct Professor: $112.50 – $130.49 per hour

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
