UNFPA is seeking candidates that transform, inspire and deliver high impact and sustained results; we need staff who are transparent, exceptional in how they manage the resources entrusted to them and who commit to deliver excellence in programme results.

The Project Management Analyst works in close collaboration with the gender team, programme staff and the operation team of the UNFPA Country Office, Government officials, experts and civil society (where relevant) ensuring the effective implementation of the 2nd phase of KOICA funded Project – Response Component which contributes to the success of the project. 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of the KOICA funded project – Response Component with a focus on the establishment and operation of the two OSSCs in Ha Tinh and Khanh Hoa provinces to ensure essential services are provided to GBV survivors in a coordinated manner meeting the international standards. 
  • Ensure timely and duly coordination and management of the KOICA funded project – Response Component and the implementation of all activities listed in the Work Plan (WP) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the government and UNFPA.
  • Provide technical support to ensure the delivery of quality the KOICA funded project – Response Component outputs through quality preparation, coordination and implementation of annual and quarterly work plans, including budgets.
  • Undertake monitoring, coordination and evaluation and follow through the preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports, both narrative and financial; ensure the timely and quality submission of periodical reports to the donor. 
  • Provide related-communication support on the second phase project to the public, and logistical support to project activities and personnel when required.
  • Provide effective support and collaboration with other partners, and stakeholders, timely facilitate the decision-making process related to KOICA funded project – Response Component in close consultation with the direct supervisor and/or the Country Office Management. 
  • Provide timely feedback to Supervisor and Senior Management Team on the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of KOICA funded project – Response Component
  • Document good practices, lessons learned and success stories from KOICA funded project – Response Component for documentation, as project implementation continues.
  • Closely work with a shared Project Associate to complete all-related project requirements. 
  • Contribute to the broader UNFPA in Viet Nam Country Office through, for example, collaboration with other programme staff to promote programme coherence and linkages.
  • Demonstrate and promote gender-sensitive behaviour and gender equality including championing UNFPA’s mandate and work with all marginalised and vulnerable population groups both within UNFPA and with partners.
  • Actively contribute to the One UN Initiative advancing the ICPD agenda and mainstreaming gender, human rights, and culture into policy advocacy, programming, and monitoring and evaluation as appropriate.
  • And other tasks required by the Country Office Management and the Gender Team including in relation to supporting the wider Country Office mandate and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience 

Education:

  • Advanced degree in public management, gender, health, population, demography, and/or other related social science disciplines.

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • At least two years of professional experience in the field of gender and gender-based violence, with practical experience in design, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in gender issues, particularly in GBV response.
  • Experience in working with Government offices, NGOs, international development organizations, and institutions especially in gender and GBV is desirable.
  • Good understanding of the Vietnamese Government gender-related policies, laws, policy making processes and being able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the relevant Government partners.
  • Experience in gender programming, understanding of human rights dimensions of gender, experience in culturally sensitive programming and in advising and supporting initiatives eliminating GBV will be an asset.
  • Familiar with the One UN context/One Plan and UN working environment will be an advantage.
  • Experience in using office software packages and web-based management systems.

Languages: 

  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese.
