Position description

Make a difference in national security as a program analyst with Leidos, supporting the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Defense Programs’ Office of International Programs in Washington, DC.  This office supports international collaboration under Mutual Defense Agreements (MDAs). Technical expertise is required to manage ongoing mission-critical activities in support of NNSA Defense Programs and international partners. This is a full-time position onsite at the customer site in Washington DC.  Some travel is required both domestically and internationally (approximately 25%, on average one week per month). Domestic travel usually involves NNSA’s labs, plants, or sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead ongoing programmatic activities related to cooperation under Mutual Defense Agreements with U.S. strategic allies and the NNSA National laboratories. This involves oversight and management of technical collaborations.
  • Work directly with the Federal Program Manager regarding the day-to-day activities involving these international cooperative activities including attending, leading, and/or briefing at senior-level meetings.
  • Advise federal management in the implementation of nuclear weapons program responsibilities and provide analytic and technical support for policy, planning, and program management to evaluate and coordinate the exchange of nuclear weapons data and cooperative research, development, test and production activities.
  • Maintain continuous close liaison with the NNSA Headquarters, NNSA sites, various offices in the DoD, applicable foreign embassies (Washington), and foreign counterparts.
  • Engage with senior U.S. and foreign government leadership, ensuring communication of current strategic goals; brief U.S. federal leadership in advance of meetings with international counterparts.
  • Organize and lead international information exchanges.
  • Maintain and update procedures for transmitting information between countries.
  • Review technical information for program adequacy and manage a large library and database of accountable physical and digital classified documentation. 
  • Manage all recordkeeping requirements for technical meetings.
  • Communicate, analyze, and resolve complex program execution issues.
  • Prepare and handle classified mail.
  • Lead the planning and logistics for high-level meetings, inclusive of travel logistics, with NNSA leadership, foreign counterparts and lab personnel.
  • Obtain/maintain derivative classification authority and classify documents.

Required Education, Experience & Clearance:

  • Active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of related experience
  • Ability to travel as business needs require (approximately 25%)
  • Ability to obtain/maintain derivative classification authority and classify documents
  • Direct experience working with NNSA laboratories, plants, and sites
  • Direct experience working with international partners in a classified environment
  • Expertise in the field of nuclear policy and/or nuclear deterrence

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 – $203,275.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
