Position description

The Director will lead the design and execution of international HR strategies to support Global Impact’s business goals. This role focuses on scaling global operations, managing complex international compliance, and serving as a strategic partner to internal leaders and external clients.

Responsibilities

      • Mobility & Visa Oversight: Manage the end-to-end US visa Application process for clients in coordination with legal experts
      • Operational Leadership: Provide expert guidance on employee relations and benefits, and partner with Finance and Business Services to optimize client delivery
      • Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee relationships with Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) and legal counsel to manage international payroll, benefits equity, and personnel
      • Global Strategy & Compliance: Develop HR policies that align with diverse international labor laws while supporting clients and mitigating organizational risk

Qualifying for this role means that you have at least 8 years of progressive HR experience, specifically within global or international contexts. You have a BS in HR or a related field; GPHR or similar international certification is highly preferred. You’re proficient in HRIS systems, HR analytics, and MS Office. You have a deep knowledge of international HR strategies, the visa application process in the USA, and PEO operations. You have a proven ability to manage relationships, foster cross-cultural collaboration, provide HR counsel, and mitigate risk.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Washington, DC location. This role requires at least 1 day in the office per week and more as needed. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $110,000 – $130,000 depending on the experience you bring. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
