Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

Full-time, tenure-track (9 month) position teaching graduate courses in quantitative research methods and related discipline content for the MA in higher education administration, EdD in higher education leadership and academic student success programs. In addition to the 9-month contract, summer teaching opportunities may be available.

Teach online graduate, masters and doctoral courses primarily in quantitative research methods. Teach online graduate courses in content areas such as Higher Education Assessment, Research, Resource Management, Finance, Policy & Governance, and/or Legal Issues. Engage in student recruitment efforts. Collaborate on program growth and curricular initiatives. Serve in program, department, institutional, state, regional, national, and international service opportunities. Work collaboratively with faculty, regional higher education institutions, private educational agencies, etc. Participate in professional organizations.

Educational Requirements for the Position

Earned Doctorate in higher education, college academic student success, educational leadership, educational research, or related field (with 18 doctoral hours in higher education) by start date.

Experience Required for the Position

At least three years of related professional experience. Demonstrated evidence of quality online instruction, program development, and student recruitment. Experience teaching or co-teaching in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid modality.

Other Requirements for the Position

Preference will be given to candidates with online teaching or co-teaching experience in a college/university setting, who have an established research agenda with quality, peer-reviewed publication examples.

Preference will be given to candidates with administrative experience in higher education or related academic organizations, who can contribute to the state, regional, national, and/or international visibility of the department programs.

Cover letter should explain qualifications in the areas of teaching, research, service, and student recruitment and also address how the candidate would contribute to the success of the MA/EdD programs, department, college, and university.
